This bloke rings up on race day to tell me he missed the bus from Taree. I am in the middle of parking 900 cars so I tell him I can’t help him and I hang up. He calls back again and so in colourful language I let him know again that I can’t help him.
He then says “It’s the Sports Minister here Garry, I just wanted to let you know I can’t be there today but wanted to wish you all the best”
Garry speaks to the value of ‘the way you talk to people’ as key to having a successful business and a great team but he is also humble enough to recognise he doesn’t always get it right 🙂.
